Description
Layered steel, hand-finished.
The blade is pattern-welded Damascus, built up layer by layer and welded into a single billet before grinding. The figure you see across the surface is the structure of the steel, not a coating, which is why it cannot wear off.
Hand-finished throughout, and built as a gift piece: something that looks considered when it comes out of the box and still works when it goes into a pocket.
Care: wipe dry after use and keep a light film of oil on the blade. Pattern-welded steel is happiest dry.
Want to know what pattern-welded Damascus actually is, how the pattern is made, and how to keep it from rusting? Our guide to Damascus steel covers all of it.
