Description
M390 on an aluminum frame.
M390 is a powder-metallurgy stainless with a very high alloy content, chosen where edge retention matters more than sharpening convenience. Expect it to work through a lot of cardboard, rope and camp chores before it needs attention.
Aluminum keeps the handle light and stiff, and takes a machined texture well.
Built for outdoor, camping and survival use.
Care: M390 resists rust well, but wipe it dry and oil the pivot.
This blade is M390. If you want to know how M390 compares with D2 and the other common knife steels on edge holding, rust resistance and sharpening effort, our D2 vs S30V vs M390 comparison covers it in plain terms.
