ULTEM, 14C28N, and bearings in the pivot.

ULTEM is an amorphous high-temperature polymer: stiff, dimensionally stable, and happy from cold to hot. It is the material you find where ordinary plastics would soften.

14C28N is a Sandvik stainless with excellent corrosion resistance and toughness, and it sharpens easily.

Ball bearings in the pivot make the opening smooth and quick.

Care: dry the blade; keep grit out of the pivot.
