Description
M390 steel. Titanium handle. Built to disappear in your pocket and hold an edge for months.
M390 is a powder-metallurgy stainless steel: the alloy is atomised into powder and then consolidated, which produces a very fine, very uniform carbide structure. In practice that means it takes a keen edge and keeps it far longer than conventional stainless — and it resists corrosion while doing it. It is the steel people specify when they are tired of resharpening.
The handle is titanium. Titanium is roughly half the weight of steel for the same volume and will not rust, which is what makes it the default choice for a knife that lives in a pocket rather than a drawer. It also takes the lightning-pattern finish without needing a coating that will eventually wear through.
Made for
- Everyday carry where weight matters
- Outdoor and camping tasks
- Anyone who wants a premium steel without a premium-steel maintenance routine
Care
Wipe the blade dry after use. M390 is highly corrosion resistant, but no steel likes being stored wet — a light oil on the edge is still cheap insurance.
Please check your state and local knife carry rules before ordering.
